EMV Migration
EMV migration is the transformation from magnetic stripe card to smart IC card. EMV standard, based on financial payment standard of CPU IC card, is formulated by Europay, MasterCard and Visa and has been recognized as leading standard in the industry. To establish unified standard of cards and terminal interfaces in financial IC card payment system, EMV migration makes all cards and terminals matched, highly strengthens the security of cards, and reduces fraud cases.
PBOC Standard
Based on EMV96, PBOC introduces Financial IC Card Standard in China, which is also known as PBOC1.0. Although many European countries, including France, have launched smart IC card standard in the banking industry, EMV96 is the first international smart card standard aiming at banking application.
Citizen Card
IC card charge system and citizen card project of public utilities have been tested and gradually accepted by administrative department and many users. The citizen card can be divided into longitudinal application and horizontal expansion. The longitudinal application mainly deals with the problems in certain industry of different areas, such as public transportation industry; while horizontal expansion mainly realizes multi-application in the same area of various industries. Nowadays, the citizen card is mainly applied to public transportation charge, and with the development of e-card business, the citizen card will be adopted in water, gas and heat industry of public utilities.
